2024-03-08 General Manager Ya-Min Hsieh served as a panelist for the "Photovoltaic Panel Recycling Technology & Circular Economy Industry Development" discussion
It is estimated that by 2045, Taiwan will have 1.4 million metric tons of waste solar panels that need to be disposed of every year. This is a situation that both the government and industry should face with caution. The Yu Chi-Chung Cultural & Education Foundation held "Photovoltaic Panel Recycling Technology & Circular Economy Industry Development" on January 8, 2024. General Manager Hsieh Yamin of our company was invited to serve as a negotiator, expressing opinions on "Solar Panel Recycling Business Opportunities" and participating in the discussion.
During the meeting, Dr. Hsieh put forward two key points: "The number of discarded solar panels is growing exponentially" and "Recycling business opportunities are promising, but the system can be improved." Transcene (Chenya) continues to research and develop new technologies to improve the recovery and reuse rate of waste. With better institutional support, our industry will be able to play an important role in environmental protection, resource recycling and industrial recycling development at the same time.
