2025-06-27 Transcene and Advanced Materials Sign Confidential Cooperation Agreement
On June 24, 2025, Transcene Co., Ltd. and Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. officially signed a confidential cooperation agreement at the Taichung Zero Waste Manufacturing Center. This agreement focuses on the joint development of emission monitoring technology design for specialty gases used in the semiconductor industry. By integrating technical expertise and introducing international standards and frameworks, the two parties aim to accelerate the development of specialty gas monitoring and reduction technologies across the semiconductor supply chain—contributing to carbon neutrality, net-zero emission goals, and strengthening ESG resilience in corporate sustainability governance.

The signing ceremony was personally attended by Dr. Hsieh Ya-Min, General Manager of Transcene, and Mr. Shu Dun-Ying, General Manager of Advanced Materials, demonstrating both parties' commitment to the sustainable transformation of the high-tech industry and their shared emphasis on corporate social responsibility (CSR). Looking ahead, the two companies will deepen their cooperation by jointly developing practical reduction and replacement solutions for high-global warming potential (GWP) gases, thereby reinforcing their environmental responsibilities and responding to global ESG rating trends.

Transcene upholds a “zero waste” business philosophy, leveraging its expertise in “urban mining” to offer professional consulting services in circular economy practices. The company is committed to building an ESG business model centered on efficient resource utilization and environmental stewardship, transforming industrial waste into reusable products. General Manager Dr. Hsieh Ya-Min stated, “This collaboration marks a new starting point. By combining our strengths, we aim to develop actionable solutions for gas recovery and substitution that offer the industry more forward-looking and sustainable choices.”

Advanced Materials, under the brands “Hsinchu Gold, Hsinchu Gold” and “Hsinchu Gold BAMBOO,” is dedicated to promoting the bamboo circular economy and green technology innovation. The company focuses on developing 100% fully biodegradable and environmentally friendly carbon-negative packaging materials for industrial applications, aiming to reduce plastic usage throughout the supply chain and significantly mitigate the global threat posed by microplastic accumulation. This effort not only addresses growing societal concern over plastic reduction and sustainable packaging, but also reflects the company’s dual environmental and social ESG responsibilities. Additionally, its AI-powered Product Carbon Footprint Calculation System—currently under development—will leverage artificial intelligence to automatically analyze, record, and calculate carbon emissions across every stage of a product’s lifecycle, from manufacturing to sales. General Manager Shu Dun-Ying stated, “Through material innovation and data-driven analysis, we aim to help the semiconductor industry meet increasingly stringent carbon management requirements and progress toward true net-zero emissions.”

This technical and professional collaboration not only strengthens ties between both companies within the green supply chain, but also showcases the determination of local enterprises to actively invest in R&D and strategic cooperation in response to the global net-zero transition. Moving forward, both parties will deepen their partnership based on mutual trust and shared benefit, working hand in hand to support the net-zero transformation of the high-tech industry.
